Genuine iPhone 16 on sale

When it was launched, the iPhone 16 was listed at 23 million VND for the 128GB version and 32 million VND for the 512GB version. After applying the new policy, the 128GB version was reduced by 1 million VND to 22 million VND; the 512GB version was reduced by 2-2.5 million VND to under 30 million VND.

The price also has a difference between colors when teal retains the highest price, pink and black versions are 200-300 thousand VND lower.

This is the first price reduction since the iPhone 16 went on sale on September 27 in Vietnam.

Currently, the price adjustment only applies to the standard iPhone 16, while other versions remain the same. However, users no longer need to spend extra money to buy accompanying accessories.

It is known that according to statistics in many systems, after a period of time when the iPhone 16 series was officially launched, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max accounted for 70-80% of sales, with some dealers recording 90%. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus only reached about 10%.

Therefore, representatives of some retail systems said that the price reduction of iPhone 16 is to stimulate demand for the product and calm down the fever for the Pro and Pro Max lines.

Demand for the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro is also a common trend in the markets. Specifically, according to information from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, in the period from Q4/2024 to Q2/2025, the iPhone 16 will cut production by 13 million units. Apple is adjusting its phone production orders, in which the affected models are mostly the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.

The biggest cut is in Q4/2024, Ming-Chi Kuo estimates that Apple's partner will ship 80 million iPhone 16s (8 million less than planned and 4 million less than the iPhone 15 last year).

In the first quarter of 2025, the number of assembled iPhones will decrease by 3 million units to 45 million units, and in the second quarter of 2025, it will continue to decrease by 2 million units to 39 million units.

According to the analysis, iPhone 16 sales will decline in the first half of 2025 due to reduced demand combined with the launch of the affordable iPhone SE 4. Therefore, the cut is reasonable.
