My Duc district opens lifelong learning response week

The Lifelong Learning Response Week in My Duc district took place from October 1 to 7, 2024, conveying an important message: Every individual and every group, regardless of their position, needs to practice reading skills, nurture reading habits and more, turn reading into a passion, an essential need in life.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of My Duc District People's Committee Dang Van Canh affirmed that studiousness is a precious tradition of the Vietnamese people. Studying not only helps people improve their knowledge and skills but also helps them realize themselves to contribute to society.

Responding to the annual lifelong learning week is an opportunity to promote, honor, preserve and promote the nation's precious tradition of studiousness and an opportunity for every citizen of the district to realize that lifelong learning is a necessary need and the right of every citizen in building a learning society.

Developing a reading culture is an important factor to promote the process of learning, researching and discovering knowledge, a journey to help each person discover themselves towards good values ​​in life, develop personality, nurture the soul, and light up dreams and ideals. Lifelong learning is the key to all success. Promoting a reading culture in the community is a common responsibility of the whole society.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of My Duc district requested that agencies, units, communes and towns in the whole district join hands to create conditions and build a favorable environment so that each person can access knowledge easily and effectively; deploy activities of the lifelong learning response week with many rich and diverse forms to spread information and bring the theme of the lifelong learning response week in 2024 into life.

Actively promote the development of reading culture in agencies, units, public places and schools. Especially in schools in the district, it is necessary to innovate the form of organizing library activities, building digital libraries of books and documents to create a rich book store to bring useful and interesting playgrounds for students.

“For each individual, it is necessary to determine that reading is an important task throughout each person's life, a process of acquiring human knowledge. Developing a reading culture is one of the important factors to build a learning society and learning community,” Mr. Dang Van Canh emphasized.
