'Huy Khanh took care of me like a child when filming a reality show'

The first season of the reality TV show The First Man to Make a Living has had a press conference. Duy Khanh and Huy Khanh are the duo who will take on the role of hosts, accompanying the show throughout the episodes.

Duy Khanh said he was very surprised to participate in recording the program without a fixed script.

“At first, when I accepted to participate in the show, I knew that it was an unscripted program. However, since it was still a TV show, I thought that there would still be some fixed structure to make it easier to edit. However, after filming for half a day, I realized that this was actually an unscripted program. I had to actually go and earn money, otherwise the show wouldn't feed me. I thought it was just a joke, but it turned out to be true," he said.

Duy Khanh and Huy Khanh will accompany the program throughout its journey.

Talking about Huy Khanh, Duy Khanh gave his senior many compliments. Duy Khanh commented that Huy Khanh is a family man, knows how to care for and look after his juniors when filming a reality show together.

He revealed: “Mr. Huy Khanh takes care of me and treats me like little Cat (Huy Khanh’s daughter - PV). Mr. Khanh cooks for me. Thanks to Mr. Huy Khanh, I was full during the few days of filming. In addition, Mr. Huy Khanh also taught me many things during the time I made a living in Tay Ninh.”

As for Huy Khanh, he confided that he chose his daughter to watch the first episode with him. The reason was because he wanted to capture the true feelings and emotions of an 11-year-old child about the program.

"While watching, I saw that my child really liked it. He laughed out loud at the funny parts. Whenever he saw his father cheating or doing something bad, he would immediately show signs of displeasure. I think this is a program that adults can enjoy and children can enjoy too," Huy Khanh said.

In addition, Ms. Nguyen Minh Huong - representative of the production unit also shared her opinion when asked about the similarities between First Life and other reality shows that have been broadcast recently.

She believes that each program has its own strengths, the strength of First Life is to let artists truly experience life with specific jobs in each region the program visits. Participating artists must earn their own money according to the actual situation and not follow any script.

Huy Khanh gave many compliments on his junior's wit.

First Life is a reality TV show about the real life of making a living when the artists participating in the show have to shed the glamorous image of their daily artistic work, to immerse themselves in the simple life of the locals through typical jobs in new lands.

All the money raised through helping people sell and consume products will be used for charity. This is a meaningful community-oriented work of the production team and artists participating in the program.

The program will air at 8:35 p.m. every Saturday night, starting July 8 on VTV9 channel.
