On the morning of November 9, the Fund Mobilization Committee for the Poor of Huong Son District (the District Fatherland Front Committee) held a ceremony to hand over seedlings to poor and near-poor households. Accordingly, 156 poor and near-poor households of 8 communes were supported with 2,746 fruit tree seedlings. In the photo: Leaders of the Huong Son District Fatherland Front Committee presented 358 fruit trees to 41 poor and near-poor households of Son Ninh Commune.
Based on the registration of households, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Huong Son district has supported seedlings suitable for the cultivation conditions of each locality, including: mango, orange, grapefruit, canarium, jackfruit, guava, sapodilla, star apple, longan, areca nut...
Supporting poor and near-poor households with seedlings to develop production aims to diversify livelihoods, improve material and spiritual life, increase income for people, and actively contribute to the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and preventing re-poverty. In the photo: The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Huong Son district presented 549 seedlings to 26 poor households in Son Tien commune.
In addition to supporting seedlings, the Huong Son District Fatherland Front Committee and local organizations also help poor and near-poor households renovate and re-plan their gardens to grow fruit trees. At the same time, they organize training courses to transfer scientific and technical advances in production and animal husbandry, helping poor and near-poor households apply the knowledge they have been trained in to practice to develop production and stabilize their lives. This is also an activity towards the congresses of the Fatherland Front at all levels.
