YONHAP. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko met with his South Korean counterpart Chung Byung-won to discuss regional security and other outstanding issues during his visit to Seoul.
TEMPO. Three people were killed and 13 others injured in a landslide in North Sumatra province, on Indonesia's Sumatra island, on February 3.

BANGKOK POST. 9,590 soldiers from 30 countries will participate in the annual Cobra Gold exercise, scheduled to take place in Thailand from February 26 to March 8.
THE NATION. Thailand and Sri Lanka have signed a free trade agreement in a move that Sri Lanka hopes will help it emerge from its worst financial crisis in decades.
IRNA. The successful launch of 11 satellites in the past 30 months shows that sanctions against Iran have failed, President Ebrahim Raisi said.
ARAB NEWS. The UN estimates that at least 17,000 children in the Gaza Strip are currently without parents or relatives.
AFP. Yemen's Houthi forces have said US and British strikes will not deter the group, and said they will retaliate.

REUTERS. Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto announced that he will send an admiral to command the EU naval mission in the Red Sea to protect ships from attacks by Houthi forces in Yemen.
SABAH. Turkey is ready to become a guarantor of peace for Palestine through its political, military and humanitarian presence in the region.
TRT. Turkish National Intelligence Director Ibrahim Kalin met with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Qatar, discussing efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza, captured Israeli hostages and humanitarian aid to Gaza.
TASS. Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko set a world record for total time spent in space, surpassing the mark of more than 878 days, 11 hours, 29 minutes and 48 seconds in orbit set by his compatriot Gennady Padalka.

AFP. After many difficult negotiations, EU member states have approved the first comprehensive regulation to regulate artificial intelligence (AI).
DW. Germany and Ukraine could finalize an agreement on bilateral security guarantees at the Munich Security Conference on February 16.

FRANCE 24. French police have temporarily ruled out the possibility that the knife attack that injured three people at the Gare de Lyon railway station in Paris, France on the morning of February 3 (local time) was a terrorist incident.
REUTERS. The Polish government has decided to extend border controls with Slovakia until March 2 to prevent illegal immigration.
America
AP. Polling stations in El Salvador have opened for voters to cast their ballots for the presidential election , with incumbent President Bukele, representing the New Thought Party, considered the frontrunner.

CNN. US President Joe Biden's victory in South Carolina is the first official victory of the 46th White House owner in the primary election.
AP. A bill providing $17.6 billion in new military aid to Israel was introduced in the US House of Representatives, as Tel Aviv wages war against Hamas.
EURO NEWS. The EU will continue to provide aid to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell has said.
AP. Argentine lawmakers took the first step in approving President Javier Milei 's sweeping economic, social and political reform package, receiving unanimity in principle from the lower house of Congress.
PRENSA LATINA. The Council of State of Cuba appointed Minister-Governor of the National Bank of Cuba Joaquín Alonso Vázquez as Minister of Economy and Planning, replacing the dismissed Alejandro Gil.
REUTERS. At least 46 people have died in the largest forest fire disaster in Chile's history, President Gabriel Boric declared a state of emergency in the central and southern regions.

NEW YORK TIMES. Senegalese President Macky Sall announced the suspension of the presidential election scheduled for February 25 - an unprecedented postponement of a presidential election in Senegal.
