Cooperation in growing Cayen pineapple and sweet corn in Vu Quang area

Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company commits to have appropriate mechanisms to support farmers in production, especially purchasing 100% of products for people in Vu Quang (Ha Tinh).

On the morning of January 26, the People's Committee of Vu Quang district held a signing ceremony for agricultural production cooperation with Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company (Ninh Binh).

At the ceremony, the two sides agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the implementation of new planting and trading of Cayen pineapple and sweet corn products in Vu Quang district.

The purpose of this signing is to promote the strengths of both sides, promote agricultural development in Vu Quang area, thereby increasing the value and economic efficiency in agricultural production, meeting consumer demand and protecting the environment. At the same time, promoting the application of technical advances, technology, input materials, production processes, and technical solutions according to common industry standards.

The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding.

According to the signed program, the two sides will focus on coordinating the implementation of key contents such as: cooperating to organize production, consuming Cayen pineapple and sweet corn products from production to consumption according to the agreement between the company and organizations and individuals. Propagating and disseminating to officials and people in the area in linking production and consumption of products from Cayen pineapple and sweet corn.

Build factories and develop production and trading chains for products from Cayen pineapple and sweet corn. Cooperate in transferring and disseminating techniques and technologies, and instructing people in the district on production processes, harvesting and preserving products.

Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company committed to investing in a factory project to produce and process pineapple juice and other products from pineapple in Vu Quang when the registered area for growing pineapple in the district reaches 2,000 hectares.

Vu Quang district commits to propagandizing and mobilizing people to increase the total pineapple growing area in the area to more than 2,000 hectares and 200 - 300 hectares of sweet corn by 2025.

In the cooperation program, Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company will be responsible for organizing training, coaching, and guiding the transfer of technical processes for planting, caring for, and harvesting each type of crop to local people; assigning technical staff to regularly coordinate with the locality in the process of planning planting, caring, and harvesting areas; ensuring the supply of seeds in the correct quantity, quality, type, specifications, and within the committed time; having appropriate mechanisms to support production, especially purchasing 100% of products for local people.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of Vu Quang District People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Son requested departments, branches and localities to closely coordinate with partners to achieve good results in the cooperation process. Both sides together demonstrated their determination and responsibility to raise awareness, methods and production efficiency for farmers.
