Meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army

Attending the meeting were Mr. Pham Hung Thai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tay Ninh province; Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; former leaders of the High Command; leaders and former leaders of the armed forces and departments, branches, sectors, organizations and politics in the province.

At the meeting, delegates listened to Lieutenant General Pham Van Dy - former Political Commissar of Military Region 7 review the tradition of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), the tradition of the Military Region's armed forces and information on the world and regional current affairs in 2024. Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Vy's sharing spread the spirit of patriotism; enhance pride in the glorious revolutionary tradition of the Party, of the nation, the tradition of determination to fight and win of the VPA.

In 2024, the Provincial Military Command has done a good job of advising the Party Committee and the government to lead and direct the successful completion of local defense work. The quality and combat readiness of the provincial military have been increasingly improved, meeting the requirements of assigned tasks. Training, competitions, and sports have achieved many outstanding results, ensuring safety in all aspects.

The work of building a strong and comprehensive "Exemplary Model" unit achieved good results, officers and soldiers strictly followed military discipline and state laws. Political and ideological work, building the Party organization, building a contingent of officers, party members and soldiers were highly effective; defense diplomacy work was well carried out, contributing to building a relationship of solidarity and friendship between the governments, armed forces and people of the two countries.

*The Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command awarded the "For the Cause of Building the Vietnam People's Army" medal to two military officers.*

Collaborate Mass mobilization, special propaganda, policy work and military rear areas were carried out effectively and in depth, contributing to strengthening the solidarity and close relationship between the armed forces and the people, building a solid "people's hearts and minds position".

The Steering Committee of 37 provinces visited, congratulated, and presented gifts on major national and religious holidays, with a total budget of over 1.6 billion VND; built and handed over 36 Army-Civilian Friendship Houses and Great Solidarity Houses, reaching 129% of the year's target.

The Provincial Military Command also coordinated with Military Region 7 to inaugurate the second phase of the border patrol road with a length of 34.93km, started construction of 2.9km in Chau Thanh district; built 5 residential areas adjacent to the third phase of the border militia post with 30 houses, costing over 7 billion VND. The work of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains was effectively implemented.

*The Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command awarded the Victory Flag Medal and the Glorious Soldier Medal of the President to the officers of the Provincial Military Command.*

The provincial military has promoted the emulation movement "The military logistics sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings"; actively organized concentrated production and on-site production, resulting in profits from increased production of nearly 10.5 billion VND, an average of 6.2 million VND/person, adding an average of 3,000 VND/person/day or more.

From the above results, in 2024, the Provincial Military Command led the emulation movement to win the local military bloc of Military Region 7, and was proposed by the Military Region Command to the Ministry of National Defense to propose the Government to award the Emulation Flag.

On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command also held a ceremony to award the commemorative medal "For the cause of building the Vietnam People's Army" of the Ministry of National Defense; award the Victory Flag Medal and the Glorious Soldier Medal of the President to military officers of the province.
