Ajinomoto Vietnam's Sustainable Social Contributions
During the meeting, Mr. Tsutomu Nara introduced the Ajinomoto Group and the sustainable business strategy of Ajinomoto Vietnam Company. Ajinomoto Vietnam operates under the Philosophy Model with the "Purpose of Existence" of "Contributing to the health and happiness of the people and society of Vietnam through providing quality products and valuable initiatives".
"Purpose of existence" is the reason why Ajinomoto Vietnam operates in Vietnam, more specifically, it is about what or how Ajinomoto Vietnam can contribute to society, shifting from a company-centric expression to a society-centric expression, from "What the company wants to be" to "How the company contributes to society".

Mr. Tsutomu Nara said, ASV (or Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value) is implemented through 3 methods:
First, repositioning the product and market. The company identifies all the needs, benefits and social issues related to the product, thereby finding opportunities to differentiate and reposition in the media market, recognizing the potential market. A typical example is the recent launch of reduced-salt products such as Phu Si reduced-salt soy sauce, instant sauce with kho quet with the aim of reducing excess salt consumption - one of the causes of high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Second, each department and division belongs to the company's value chain; and improving the daily productivity of each division is the way to implement ASV.
Finally, local community development is carried out through initiatives and activities to improve the nutrition and health of Vietnamese people. Some typical activities that Ajinomoto Vietnam has carried out in recent years are "School Meals" in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, "Mother and Child Nutrition Program" in collaboration with the Ministry of Health...
At the end of the program, Associate Professor Dr. Chu Ky Son - Principal of the School of Chemistry and Life Sciences, Hanoi University of Science and Technology expressed his thanks to Mr. Tsutomu Nara and members of Ajinomoto Vietnam for coming and sharing with the students of the school.
