Scientific seminar on General Nguyen Chi Thanh, an excellent practical leader

On December 29, in Hue City (Thua Thien - Hue), on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the birth of General Nguyen Chi Thanh (January 1, 1914 - January 1, 2024), the Ministry of National Defense and the Central Propaganda Department coordinated with Thua Thien - Hue province to organize a scientific seminar on the topic "General Nguyen Chi Thanh - Strategic leader, excellent practical leader of the Vietnamese revolution".

Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia gave a speech directing the workshop.

In his opening speech, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, Deputy Minister of National Defense, said that the workshop was an opportunity to promote studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh and his outstanding students, including General Nguyen Chi Thanh. The workshop will contribute to educating the revolutionary tradition for cadres, soldiers and people, especially the young generation, to enhance patriotism, love for socialism, national pride and self-esteem, and the desire to contribute, and belief in the victory of the revolutionary cause under the leadership of the Party.

Secretary of the Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu said that the workshop was one of the meaningful activities in the series of events celebrating the 110th anniversary of the birth of General Nguyen Chi Thanh. Mr. Le Truong Luu affirmed that the Party Committee and people of Thua Thien - Hue are always proud of General Nguyen Chi Thanh, a loyal communist soldier who fought and sacrificed his whole life for the people and the country, a man of "as pure as jade" morality.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, emphasized that in more than 30 years of revolutionary activities, having held many leadership positions both inside and outside the army, working in many places, many fields, and with different tasks, General Nguyen Chi Thanh always demonstrated the shining qualities of a loyal, exemplary communist, a dedicated leader, not afraid of difficulties and hardships, wholeheartedly serving the Fatherland, serving the people, fighting and sacrificing all his life for the ideal of national independence and socialism.

The presentations at the conference analyzed, clarified and continued to focus on affirming that General Nguyen Chi Thanh was an exemplary loyal communist, a talented politician and military man; a shining example of revolutionary morality, an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh; and an outstanding son of his homeland Thua Thien - Hue.

At the same time, it will further explain the thinking style, strategic viewpoints, and excellent practical instructions of the General in the cause of national liberation struggle, building and defending the Fatherland; deepen the views of General Nguyen Chi Thanh on promoting the role of Party work, political work, and building a strong people's army...
