(Dan Tri) - On the evening of December 22, the program "The marching song echoes forever in the country" was held at Doan Mon yard, Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Conservation Area.
The marching song echoes forever in the country is a political art program organized by Hanoi Radio and Television on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.
The program is a musical gift of gratitude to Uncle Ho's soldiers who have been working day and night to preserve the country's peace, spreading the pride, will and indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people.
The event was held at Doan Mon yard, Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Conservation Area, where 70 years ago, soldiers of the 308th Vanguard Division, the 57th Regiment and the 304th Army Division from all directions marched to liberate the Capital and gathered at this historic site.
At exactly 3:00 p.m. on October 10, 1954, when the whistle placed on the roof of the Opera House blew a long sound, the whole city looked towards the Hoang Dieu Citadel. Together with tens of thousands of compatriots in the capital, the elite sons of the heroic Vietnamese Army headed straight to the Hanoi Flag Tower to celebrate the first flag-raising ceremony in the dawn of the new era.
With the participation of the Hanoi Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Young Sound Choir, the Childhood Stars Club and famous artists such as Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Phuc Tiep... the program truly brought an emotional musical space, imbued with love for the country.
The program recreated the proud journey of the Vietnam People's Army through a series of classic songs: Victory Monument (musician Nguyen Xuan Thuy), Vietnamese Soldiers (musician Van Cao), National Defense Army (musician Phan Huynh Dieu), Thao River Guerrillas (musician Do Nhuan), Our Army, the Heroic Army (musician Van An), The Storm Has Risen (musician Trong Bang), Victory March (musician Dinh Ngoc Lien), Marching Under the Military Flag (musician Doan Nho), Singing Forever the Military March (musician Diep Minh Tuyen)...
The songs take listeners from heroic and tragic emotions to profound and exciting ones, painting a vivid picture of the resounding victories and boundless sacrifices of the army in the resistance wars.
Images of great national heroes such as Uncle Ho and General Vo Nguyen Giap appearing in the reports also moved the audience. Many people even sang along with the artists in the program.
The marching song echoes throughout the country is not only a music program but also a deep gratitude to Uncle Ho's soldiers.
This is an opportunity for people, especially the young generation, to better understand and appreciate the great contributions of the Vietnam People's Army, sending a strong message about love for the homeland, solidarity and strength of the nation.
