On April 4, the Provincial Department of Health held a conference to review the first quarter health work and deploy tasks for the second quarter of 2025. This was also an opportunity for the leaders of the Department of Health to directly dialogue with civil servants, public employees and workers in the industry, listen to and resolve difficulties in public health care.

In the first quarter of 2025, the health sector has implemented many practical and effective activities. One of the highlights is the organization of medical examinations and free medicine provision for more than 12,000 people in 6/7 border districts, attracting the participation of people in remote communes. In particular, border commune health stations have been reinforced with doctors, ensuring that each commune has at least one doctor working regularly or on a rotating basis. In addition, the health sector has focused on disease prevention and control. Medical units have strengthened monitoring and disease prevention, especially measles, seasonal flu, dengue fever and HIV/AIDS. In particular, the health sector has carried out vaccinations for children and pregnant women, giving MR measles booster shots to nearly 2,000 children and DPT vaccines to more than 2,600 children. The total number of medical examinations and treatments reached more than 291,000, including nearly 200,000 visits at hospitals and general clinics. The health sector also effectively maintained the quality of health insurance medical examinations and treatments for policy beneficiaries, the poor, and children under 6 years old. The health sector organized food safety inspections at 2,342 facilities, of which 95.1% met the requirements. Communication campaigns on food safety were widely deployed to raise public awareness. In social protection work, the health sector supported more than 96,000 policy beneficiaries and poor households on the occasion of Tet, worth more than 57 billion VND. At the conference, delegates discussed important issues such as: Discussing and giving opinions on the draft document according to Official Dispatch No. 1790/BYT-TCCB, dated March 28, 2025 on the draft functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the grassroots health care system in building a two-level local government organization model ; Discussing and agreeing on the Ha Giang Health sector's trade union system until specific instructions are available; bidding for drugs and medical supplies; Administrative reform and digital transformation in the health sector. One of the topics of interest was the implementation of Project 06 on administrative procedure reform, in which delegates shared experiences and solutions to improve the quality of service to the people.
Concluding the Conference, the leaders of the Department of Health highly appreciated the opinions and contributions of the delegates attending the Conference. At the same time, they requested that when hospitals detect tuberculosis patients, they should immediately transfer them to the lung hospital for treatment, to avoid cross-infection in hospitals, helping to reduce treatment time for patients; urgently review the measles vaccination campaign and seriously implement measles vaccination in the area; focus on managing public assets in accordance with regulations and fully propose the contents that need to be handled; units develop plans to implement health check-ups for people in the area once/person/year in the whole province and strive to have examined all people by June 30, reaching 100%. It is expected that in the coming time, Resolution 18 will be implemented, reducing the number of communes and centers by 50%, proactively reviewing and advising on the list of medical staff of each commune after the merger.
