Training conference on Trade Union Law and Social Insurance Law

Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, lectured on new points of the Trade Union Law and the Social Insurance Law in 2024.

At the conference, comrade Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized the importance of updating new legal regulations on trade union activities and social insurance. The Trade Union Law (amended) takes effect from July 1, 2025, adding many important contents such as expanding the right to join trade unions for workers without labor relations, enhancing the supervisory role of trade unions and specific regulations on trade union finances.

Meanwhile, the Law on Social Insurance (amended) aims to expand coverage and better ensure workers' rights, with important changes in pension, unemployment insurance and social allowances.
