Conference to review the collective and individuals of the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee

On the morning of December 28, comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a conference to review the collective and individual performance of the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee in 2023. Attending the conference were members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Provincial People's Committee.

In 2023, the Provincial People's Committee has thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the directives, resolutions, decisions, conclusions of the superiors and the collective's work programs and plans; always ensured the implementation of the principle of democratic centralism throughout the leadership, direction and administration process; proactively resolved work within the authority, in accordance with the process and procedures prescribed by law and the working regulations of the Provincial People's Committee. In the process of performing assigned tasks, the members of the Provincial People's Committee have been proactive, flexible, decisive, ensuring the requirements of coordination of work, information exchange, promoting democracy, openness, transparency... Therefore, despite many difficulties and challenges, the province's socio-economy has still developed stably and achieved some positive results.

The province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated to increase by 7.37% compared to 2022, 1.5 times higher than the national average; the total production value is estimated to increase by 6.6% compared to 2022. Investment promotion and attraction work has been directed with attention, bringing many positive results with the total investment capital attracted by the province as of December 18 reaching nearly 98,300 billion VND, 4.6 times higher than the same period in 2022, of which FDI capital attraction for the first time reached nearly 3 billion USD - the highest ever and ranked 5th nationwide in FDI attraction. To date, the province has basically completed the task of planning Thai Binh province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. 2023 is also the second consecutive year to surpass the milestone of 1,000 newly registered enterprises. The disbursement of public investment capital has been focused on, directed and continued to achieve good results, the rate of public investment disbursement is among the top in the country, key projects are prioritized for resources and focused on drastic direction. The cultural and social fields are comprehensively directed. Discipline and administrative discipline in state agencies are strengthened, administrative reform has many positive changes. National defense, security and social order and safety are maintained.

At the conference, the collective and individual leaders of the Provincial People's Committee reviewed their strengths and achievements; clarified the limitations, shortcomings, causes and results of overcoming the limitations and shortcomings pointed out in previous reviews; the responsibilities of the collective and individuals; on that basis, proposed directions and measures to overcome the limitations and shortcomings in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The review conference is very important, an opportunity for the collective of the Provincial People's Committee and each individual leader of the Provincial People's Committee to look back at the results achieved in leadership, direction, organization and implementation of tasks in 2023; affirm the good work done, at the same time point out the limitations and shortcomings of the collective and individual leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, on that basis propose solutions to overcome to ensure feasibility, synchronization and effectiveness. At the same time, continue to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the collective and individual leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, build the collective of the Provincial People's Committee to be increasingly united, clean, strong, capable, prestigious, well-suited to the requirements of leadership to successfully carry out the tasks in 2024.
