Speaking at the opening of the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do emphasized: This is an opportunity for Dien Bien province to promote its potential and strengths, attract investors to research and invest in the province in various fields, in order to promote the potential advantages of the province; support provincial enterprises to promote their brands, promote cooperation, search and expand product consumption markets. This is also an opportunity to enhance exchanges and connections between local Party committees and authorities with the business community, entrepreneurs and investors. Up to now, Dien Bien province has a total of 215 investment projects approved for investment policies and granted Investment Registration Certificates with a total registered capital of over 50,000 billion VND.
At the conference, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Do Thanh Trung suggested a number of solutions to create closer and more effective connections between State management agencies and the business community. At the same time, he suggested that Dien Bien province focus on removing difficulties; cutting down administrative procedures; proposing simpler legal policies and mechanisms; truly accompanying businesses; ensuring a favorable and transparent investment environment. On the part of businesses, it is necessary to proactively research, assess challenges and make recommendations in each field; from there, the province can provide guidance, support and advice to businesses.
Senior domestic economic experts focused on discussing the topics: Connecting pillars towards developing a creative economy for the Northwest region and piloting application for Dien Bien; Domestic market development policy: Some proposals for application to Dien Bien province and the Northwest region - Connecting and developing Vietnam - Laos border trade infrastructure; Strengthening connectivity, expanding linkages to create a breakthrough in developing Dien Bien tourism; The "Large scale" rule in the market economy - Different values of collective economy, cooperatives in the world and Vietnam - Applying to strengthen connectivity for socio-economic development of Dien Bien province and the Northwest region; Linking investment in the Northwest region according to the value chain.
Representatives of leaders of central ministries, branches and leaders of Dien Bien province held a discussion with businesses on a number of issues: Potentials and advantages in economic development of Dien Bien province; difficulties in tourism development of the province. At the conference, the signing ceremony of the Joint Cooperation Group between VACOD and the Dien Bien Provincial Business Association and Business Associations of provinces and cities took place.
