63rd Conference of the Executive Committee of the Ha Long City Party Committee

On April 3, the Ha Long City Party Executive Committee held its 63rd conference to discuss the situation and results of the first quarter's tasks; directions and key tasks for the second quarter of 2025. Comrade Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, attended and directed the conference. Total revenue from tourism reached VND 6,273 billion, equal to 142% over the same period. The production value of industry and construction increased by 14.7% over the same period. Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory in the area has come into operation, expected to create a breakthrough growth in the province and city. The production value of the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector is estimated to increase by 16.9% over the same period. Budget revenue reached 932.7 billion VND, up 7.5% over the same period.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that the socio-economic development results of the province in the first quarter of 2025 are very positive. In particular, the economic growth rate is estimated at 10.91%, the total state budget revenue is 6% higher than the growth scenario. These results have important contributions from Ha Long city as the central urban area, the development nucleus of the province.

The tasks of the second quarter are very large and very important. The Provincial Party Secretary requested the city to continue focusing on Party building and the political system. To serve the organization of Party congresses at all levels, the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee direct the implementation of preparations for Party congresses for commune-level administrative units after the merger. Ensure that the congress can be held immediately after implementing the new model from July 1, 2025.

Regarding socio-economic development tasks, the Provincial Party Secretary noted that the city continues to focus on thoroughly removing difficulties and obstacles for non-budgetary investment projects, especially obstacles in site clearance and land leveling, creating conditions to accelerate the progress of key projects of the province and the city. At the same time, speed up the implementation of public investment projects. Along with that, continue to focus on budget collection, administrative reform, and implementation of social security policies.
