Nguyen Binh Minh Tri (grade 12, VAS Ba Thang Hai) also received two consecutive scholarships to study abroad in Australia. The male student affirmed that extracurricular activities are always an important point in the scholarship application. VAS has created conditions for him to gain experience and develop global citizen skills, thereby, seizing opportunities to develop himself and receive scholarships.
In addition, VAS also has many students who won scholarships after completing grades 8, 10 and 11.
In 2022, VAS students were awarded the title "Top in the world" - the highest score in the world in Mathematics by the Cambridge International Examinations (CAIE), along with two titles "Top in Vietnam" - the highest score in Vietnam in Business and English as a Second Language (EFL) in the IGCSE International General Secondary School exam.
To win this title, VAS students have achieved excellent results in each subject globally and nationally in the annual Cambridge academic exams, which are held uniformly in 13,000 Cambridge international schools in 170 countries around the world.

With each pathway, students also have many other achievements. With Cambridge Academic (CAPB) and Cambridge Comprehensive International (CAPI), 25% - 41% of students achieve the highest grade AA* (Excellent to Absolute) for 3 - 4 Cambridge subjects depending on the level of study.
In the Cambridge Intensive English Pathway (CEP), 38% of students in grades 2-12 achieved AA* in English. In the IELTS exam, 61% of students in grades 11 and 12 achieved 6.0 or above. These achievements are all higher than last year, in which the rate of students achieving 4 AA* in IGCSE subjects this year is 11% higher.
"This is a solid foundation for students to continue to maintain their leading achievements in the Cambridge international academic certificate exams in 2023," the school representative affirmed.
In the near future, nearly 1,600 VAS students will take the Primary Checkpoint, Secondary Checkpoint, IGCSE and AS/A Level exams. With more than 10 years of experience implementing the Cambridge international education program in Vietnam, VAS is one of the units with the highest number of students studying and taking Cambridge academic exams annually in the international school system in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the VAS school year closing ceremony, Ms. Chau Luong Xuan - mother of Nguyen Gia Hung (grade 9) and Nguyen Gia Toan (grade 7) said that the family was very surprised when her eldest son won second prize in the city-level Chemistry competition. She thought that when studying at an international school, her son would not follow the national education program closely.
"This award shows that VAS not only teaches English and life skills lessons well for children, but also Vietnamese subjects very well. The family is very happy and satisfied," she added.
