Grade 12 students register for the exam from April 21, when will the graduation exam results be announced?

In order to prepare the plan to organize this year's High School Graduation Exam, the Ministry of Education and Training has instructed localities on specific timelines and work content.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training will provide training on exam regulations and exam organization techniques to localities.

From April 21 to 28, organize for candidates to register for the exam and graduation recognition online; enter the exam registration form and graduation recognition registration form for candidates who submit their application directly.

Review, check, and edit candidate information (if any), and candidate's reserved scores (if any) from May 28 to 9.

By May 13th at the latest, the list of candidates registering for the exam must be completed in the order of a, b, c,… of the candidates’ names; printed, signed and stamped on the exam registration form for candidates registering online. Have candidates sign to confirm the exam registration information on the form and the list.

After the exam ends, localities will immediately start grading essay and multiple-choice tests to announce the exam results at 8:00 a.m. on July 16.

No later than July 18, the Departments of Education and Training will consider recognizing high school graduation for students.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2025 High School Graduation Exam is the first year to organize the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program.

This program has significant changes compared to previous years, especially in the approach to knowledge and assessment of students' abilities.

The exam is decentralized, decentralizing the initiative to localities in organizing the stages of the exam. The Ministry of Education and Training is responsible for promulgating regulations, guidelines and common exam questions nationwide and coordinating in inspection, examination and supervision to ensure the exam is organized fairly, objectively and safely.

The results of this year's exam are used to consider high school graduation, evaluate the teaching and learning process, and allow candidates to use the results for admission to universities, colleges, and vocational education.

In addition to the fact that candidates will only take 4 subjects, a notable new point in this year's exam is that the Literature subject may use materials other than textbooks when constructing the exam. The materials may include paragraphs, poems, or situations related to current events and social life.

This will completely put an end to speculation about exam questions like previous years and help assess students' ability to read, understand and perceive texts in real-life situations, avoiding rote learning and mechanical memorization.
