Gia Lai students worry about school violence, internet safety and homemade fireworks

The event attracted more than 200 outstanding children representing more than 467,000 children from 17 districts, towns and cities in Gia Lai province.

They are very concerned about child-related issues such as school violence, cyber safety and homemade fireworks.

During the dialogue program, many students expressed their opinions on issues of school violence, cyber safety and the risks of homemade fireworks. They were concerned about online fraud and abuse as well as the negative impacts of using fireworks, especially during Tet.

In addition, the pressure of studying, lack of sports facilities and the need for psychological counseling in schools are also issues that students are interested in. In addition, they want to be equipped with more knowledge about traffic accident prevention, drowning and skills to deal with dangerous situations.

La Thi Bich Ngan - a student at Dak Po District Ethnic Boarding Secondary School asked: "Children today face many risks on the internet such as fake information, obscene images, and scams that affect children's health. So to protect children, what solutions do all levels and sectors have?"

200 delegates representing students of Gia Lai province participated in the dialogue.

The issues raised by Gia Lai students at the dialogue were listened to and responded to specifically by the departments and branches in the province. Mr. Rah Lan Chung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the opinions and questions of the students, saying that these were realistic reflections of the learning environment and educational conditions. Mr. Chung affirmed that the province would create suitable conditions and require all levels and branches to have specific solutions to meet the wishes of the students.

“These are very valid opinions, reflecting the practical problems of children’s lives, requiring the relevant departments, localities, and parents to pay attention and resolve them. In the future, the Provincial People’s Committee will continue to pay attention, and local departments will create the most favorable and safe conditions for Gia Lai children to have a good learning environment,” Mr. Rah Lan Chung emphasized.
