Practical support for small and medium enterprises

At the end of March, the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Thuan announced the 2025 Small and Medium Enterprise Support Program in the industry. The subjects of application are enterprises established, organized and operating in accordance with the provisions of the law on enterprises, meeting the criteria for determining small and medium enterprises according to regulations; Small and medium-sized enterprises with innovative startups (according to the provisions of the Law on Support for Small and Medium Enterprises).

Production and business activities of enterprises in Binh Thuan.

With this program, the industry focuses on implementing a number of related contents such as supporting consulting contracts for digital transformation solutions for businesses on business processes, management processes, production processes, technology processes and business model transformation. It is known that the maximum support level is 50% of the contract value, but not exceeding 50 million VND/contract/year for small enterprises, and not exceeding 100 million VND/contract/year for medium enterprises. The same support level also applies to the case of renting or purchasing digital transformation solutions to automate, improve the efficiency of business processes, management processes, production processes, technology processes in enterprises and digital transformation of business models (except for micro-enterprises, the cost support is not more than 20 million VND/year).

Implementing the program, this year the Department of Science and Technology also aims to support consulting contracts to establish intellectual property rights, consulting on management and development of products and services protected by intellectual property rights of enterprises. In addition, it also supports technology transfer consulting contracts suitable for enterprises with a maximum support level of 50% of the contract value but not exceeding 100 million VND/contract/year/enterprise... Meanwhile, the subjects are small and medium-sized enterprises that start up creatively, will be supported to use technical facilities, incubators, shared working areas as well as support for intellectual property consulting, exploitation and development of intellectual property. On the other hand, they are also supported to carry out procedures on standards, technical regulations, measurement, quality and testing, perfecting products, and new business models. In particular, technology support will be applied at a maximum of 50% of the value of the consulting contract for searching, selecting, decoding and transferring technology suitable for the enterprise, but not exceeding 100 million VND/contract/year/enterprise...

Previously, the Binh Thuan Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion also informed about the list of local industrial promotion projects in 2025 approved by the Provincial People's Committee. Notably, in the list there are 2 specific projects implemented with local industrial promotion funds whose direct beneficiaries are enterprises and industrial production establishments in the province. In particular, the project "Supporting the application of advanced machinery and equipment in cashew nut processing" aims to support enterprises in investing in new shelling screens, machines and dryers in cashew nut processing lines to replace existing manual methods. This will increase productivity, save labor, meet market demand and help enterprises proactively source export goods during the cashew nut harvest season... The remaining project is "Supporting the application of advanced machinery and equipment in the production of products from loofah" to support enterprises in taking advantage of locally available raw materials and creating added value for loofah. Accordingly, the project is aimed at diversifying products from squash, creating environmentally friendly products and meeting market demand.

Currently, Binh Thuan has also issued a plan to implement the Government's Resolution on key tasks and solutions to improve the business environment and enhance national competitiveness by 2025. According to the assigned tasks, in the coming time, departments, branches and localities will focus on improving the effectiveness of business support services, especially for small and medium enterprises...
