Colonel Tran Dong Thanh - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command attended and awarded certificates to the martyrs' relatives. Also attending the ceremony were leaders of Thu Dau Mot City, Phu My Ward and martyrs' relatives living in Phu My.

Comrade Truong Van Thi is the son of Mr. Truong Sinh and Mrs. Tong Thi Su, residing in Tam Quan commune, Hoai Nhon district, Binh Dinh province. He is the son of a family with a revolutionary tradition, with an older brother, martyr Truong Nhi, who joined the revolution in 1945 and died in 1968.
At the end of 1957, introduced by an acquaintance, comrade Truong Van Thi went to work for the Hong Hoa fish sauce company in Duc Thang ward, Phan Thiet city. During his time working, he was adopted by Mrs. Huynh Thi Co, who lived near the fish sauce company. He became enlightened about the revolution and enlisted in the Vietnam People's Army on September 10, 1962, taking the name Truong Van Cuong, working and directly fighting in Platoon 1, Unit 480, Phan Thiet City Team.


During his work and fighting, on May 27, 1965, he was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam by the Phan Thiet City Team. On June 10, 1966, he was officially transferred to the Party and held the position of Platoon Leader (A-rank Leader). After the battle at the Y Gate, the unit retreated to Suoi Soi in Ham Hiep Commune, Ham Thuan District (now Ham Hiep Commune, Ham Thuan Bac District) to consolidate forces in preparation for the second attack.
After repelling the 53rd Company - Puppet stationed at Muong Man Fort, at around 4:00 p.m. on February 15, 1968, enemy aircraft from Thanh Son Airport, Phan Rang - Thap Cham came to bomb the position of Unit 480, causing 6 of our comrades hiding in 2 bunkers to heroically sacrifice, including comrade Truong Van Thi. In recognition of these contributions, on February 26, 2025, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 437 on granting the "Fatherland's Gratitude" Certificate to Martyr Truong Van Thi.
At the ceremony, Colonel Tran Dong Thanh - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command affirmed that comrade Truong Van Thi had devoted his whole life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. His spirit clearly demonstrated the good qualities of a Communist, a soldier of "Uncle Ho's Army". He always upheld the spirit of revolution, attack, solidarity, attachment, together with his comrades and teammates overcame all sacrifices and hardships, and excellently completed all assigned tasks. Comrade Truong Van Thi has passed away, but the spirit of fighting and sacrificing for the revolutionary ideal still lives on...
