Business support will be very different

“How to take advantage of business opportunities in 2025” is the topic of a series of internal discussions and discussions of many business associations.

Although challenges, difficulties, and even uncertainties of the world and domestic economy continue to be highlighted in the business plan for next year, businesses all say that opportunities are greater. In particular, opportunities are greater and more present because the Government's policy moves, which many businesses mention, are very different from previous years.

Looking back, supporting businesses has always been present in the main tasks and solutions of the National Assembly and the Government, aiming to achieve annual socio-economic goals and targets. Along with that are always fiscal and monetary solutions with a series of specific policies such as cutting, reducing, and extending the payment time of taxes and fees; cutting administrative procedures; reducing compliance costs; facilitating businesses to access credit, land, etc.

Same thing in 2025.

Resolution No. 158/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly on the 2025 Socio-Economic Development Plan puts solutions to support production and business right after the priority of promoting economic growth, before the group of solutions to maintain macroeconomic stability, control inflation, and ensure major balances of the economy.

Among the 8 groups of solutions and policies of the Government that the Prime Minister emphasized at the National Conference to thoroughly grasp and deploy the summary of the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee; the socio-economic situation in 2024, solutions to accelerate socio-economic development in 2025 and remove institutional bottlenecks and bottlenecks, the solutions to mobilize maximum social resources, effectively exploit resources from state-owned enterprises, and strongly develop private enterprises ranked third (after the 2 groups of tasks to perfect institutions and promote growth associated with macroeconomic stability).

Many policy proposals to support businesses are continuing to be finalized by the Government, in order to take effect next year. Such as the policy of reducing value-added tax by 2% until the end of June 2025, solutions to overcome difficulties in real estate market management, appropriately resolving and thoroughly handling real estate projects facing difficulties, legal problems, and stagnation due to prolonged implementation and laws through different periods...

However, the content of the group of solutions to support businesses next year will certainly not be the same as many years ago, and even different from 2024, when growth targets will also be prioritized.

Firstly, businesses are clearly feeling the determination to promote strong growth throughout the political system. For the first time, the National Assembly Resolution assigns a GDP growth target not only in the range of 6.5-7%, but also has an additional target of 7.0-7.5%. However, the Government's target is higher, reaching the threshold of 8% GDP growth to create momentum, force, and spirit to implement the plan for the entire 2021-2030 period.

Second, the message that the arrangement and streamlining of the Government apparatus as required by the Central Steering Committee and the Politburo - despite its wide, complex, and sensitive scope of impact - will not affect the service to the people and businesses is clearly demonstrated at all levels, sectors, and localities.

Third, never before have businesses mentioned the very fast and consistent speed in implementing policy solutions, especially in the group of solutions to perfect institutions and remove bottlenecks, with such confidence as at this time.

Supporting businesses this year will certainly not only stop at solutions and policies for the convenience of businesses, but also for the orientation and determination for growth and development of the entire political system.

Business opportunities are therefore more present to the business community.
