Not only is he passionate about Vietnamese cuisine such as pho, he also shares special feelings about Vietnamese culture and people as well as the pressure and motivation from the resounding success of his compatriot Park Hang-seo.

On the occasion of Lunar New Year, Coach Kim Sang-sik had his first experiences of the traditional Vietnamese New Year, from trying banh chung to preparing lucky money envelopes to wish his players a happy new year. In particular, he consulted Coach Park Hang-seo - who has a deep attachment to Vietnamese football - to create closeness and warmth on this special occasion.

When mentioning Coach Park Hang-seo, Mr. Kim could not hide his admiration. He considered the successes that Coach Park achieved with Vietnamese football as both pressure and motivation to try harder.

"Mr. Park's success is half pressure, but the other half is motivation for me to focus and try. Mr. Park has had a resounding victory and is loved by many. Achieving his achievements is very difficult, but I hope to receive love from players and fans like what Mr. Park has done," Coach Kim expressed.

Although he has been living and working in Vietnam for 7 months, Coach Kim still can't help but miss his family in Korea. "During the time away from home, I miss my family and sometimes feel lonely. However, thanks to his Korean friends and the support from Vietnamese fans, Coach Kim feels more attached to this place. "In Vietnam, I have many Korean friends who always support and encourage me. At the same time, the strong relationship between Vietnam and Korea also helps me feel deeply connected to everyone."
