Highlight Poland 1-2 Netherlands
In the opening match of Group D of Euro 2024 last night at the Volksparkstadion (Hamburg), the Netherlands were considered to be better than Poland without Lewandowski. However, coach Koeman's team encountered many difficulties.

The Netherlands fell behind Poland in the 16th minute through Adam Buksa. Cody Gakpo then leveled the score for the Netherlands in the 28th minute. In the following minutes, the "Orange Storm" put on a lot of pressure.
According to statistics, in this match, the Netherlands held the ball up to 67% and launched 21 shots but they could not penetrate the Polish net for a long time. It was not until Wout Weghorst entered the field in the 80th minute that the Netherlands could breathe a sigh of relief. Just two minutes after being on the field, this "youngster" striker helped the home team set the score at 2-1.
Sitting on the bench, coach Koeman was "burning with anger" when his team was unable to find a way into the Polish goal for a long time. That led to the unconscious actions of the Dutch coach.
The camera lens recorded the image of coach Koeman picking his nose, causing it to bleed. He then sucked his finger, before going to the sideline to instruct his players.
Immediately, the image of coach Koeman was spread on social networks. Many fans mocked the head coach of the Dutch team.
Many people associate this image with the former German national team coach, Joachim Low. This coach was caught many times eating his own booger, putting his hand in his pants and sniffing it. To the point that these "unhygienic" actions became Joachim Low's trademark.

However, coach Koeman did not care too much about the ridicule because he enjoyed the joy of victory with the Netherlands team. Speaking after the match, the coach said: "Everything was fine. The match ended in a positive direction for the Netherlands. We played well in the first 60 minutes and created many opportunities.
However, the team conceded a goal in a bad moment of the Dutch defense. That is something the players need to improve.
The score should have been 3-1, 4-1 at half-time. The inability to score put the team in a very difficult position in the second half. I don't remember how many chances we missed. Germany had two chances and scored two goals. We had five chances but only scored one goal. Finding opportunities is one thing, taking advantage of them is another."
With this victory, the Netherlands temporarily tops Group D with 3 points. At 02:00 on June 18, the remaining match in the group between Austria and the Netherlands will take place.
