The "3 have, 3 know" model has been implemented by the Women's Union of Binh Tri commune since June 2024. Phuoc Hoa village branch was selected for the pilot implementation. The model is implemented with the goal of helping union members not only do well in union work but also play an important role in taking care of the lives of members in difficult circumstances. The "3 have, 3 know" model is implemented based on criteria such as: Having pioneer members, having monthly activities, having resources to organize activities; knowing members' faces, knowing members' circumstances and knowing members' needs.
To implement this model, the Phuoc Hoa Women's Union has assigned specific tasks to each member of the union. All members are responsible for grasping all information, understanding the thoughts, aspirations, and needs of members, concretizing movements, campaigns, and key tasks of the union in accordance with local characteristics. Through this, the union will be able to clearly understand the circumstances of each member and have appropriate measures to help.

To maintain and promote the effectiveness of the model, every month the Women's Union of Phuoc Hoa village organizes many practical activities such as collecting scrap, having a loving breakfast, and mobilizing contributions from benefactors to raise support funds. The women in the union always take the initiative to visit, encourage, and give gifts to members in difficult circumstances, lonely elderly people or people with serious illnesses, etc.
Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Binh Tri Commune, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tam, said that the model sets a target of 100% of branch officials promptly grasping the number of members, having pioneer members, having monthly activities, having resources to organize activities; knowing members' faces, knowing members' circumstances, knowing members' needs. 100% of members in difficulty, poor, near-poor are often visited and encouraged, and the sisters see what members need and help them.
A typical example is the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tho (82 years old), who is currently living with her husband. Her eyes are suffering from keratitis, making one eye blind. Not only that, her arms and legs are also injured, her son went far away to start a business but unfortunately contracted a serious illness and recently passed away. Although they should be enjoying their old age, they still have to work hard every day to make a living. After learning about Mrs. Tho's difficult situation, the Women's Association of Phuoc Hoa village considered supporting her, regularly visiting her, and giving her money or rice every month.
“My circumstances are difficult, but thanks to the care of the village officials and members, I am very happy. Recently, I received financial support from the government to build a house, and the children in the association also came to help clean up very enthusiastically,” Ms. Tho shared.
In addition, in 2024, the association also paid attention to calling for timely support for the case of a mother and child who had a serious traffic accident but were not eligible to pay the hospital fees with a support amount of over 100 million VND. In addition, the association also regularly took care of 2 lonely elderly people with no one to rely on in the village.
“Maintaining and promoting the effectiveness of the “3 have, 3 know” model is not easy, but thanks to the enthusiasm and sense of responsibility of the women in the association, we have been able to promptly help those in difficult circumstances,” said Phan Thi Nhi, President of the Women's Association of Phuoc Hoa village.
Up to now, the model of “3 have, 3 know” has supported more than 30 cases, bringing positive results. The support activities of the Women's Union of Phuoc Hoa village have contributed significantly to improving the lives of members in difficulty, arousing the spirit of solidarity and mutual love in the community. Thanks to the enthusiasm and sense of responsibility of the union members, the model has received strong support from the people in the village.
With these initial successes, the Women's Union of Binh Tri commune said it will continue to replicate the model to other branches in the commune to expand the scope of support, contributing to creating a united and increasingly developing community.
