Quang Ngai Newspaper grants funding to support housing construction for poor households

On the morning of April 6, Quang Ngai Newspaper coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanh Trung Commune (Nghia Hanh) to organize the groundbreaking ceremony and presented a symbolic plaque to support 60 million VND to build a house for the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ho (81 years old), in Hiep Pho Bac village. This is the fund mobilized by Quang Ngai Newspaper from the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - Dung Quat Branch ( BIDV Dung Quat).

Secretary of the Party Committee of Hanh Trung Commune Nguyen Van Dao said that, implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province, up to now, Hanh Trung Commune has completed the repair of 9/9 houses. In particular, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ho's house is under the new construction category because it is damaged, degraded, and unsafe. Thanks to the connection and support of Quang Ngai Newspaper and BIDV Dung Quat, Ms. Ho's house has started construction. The commune strives to complete the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the commune before April 30, making achievements to celebrate the 50th Day of Southern Liberation and National Reunification.

Editor-in-Chief of Quang Ngai Newspaper Nguyen Phu Duc visited and encouraged the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ho, in Hiep Pho Bac village, Hanh Trung commune.

Speaking at the ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of Quang Ngai Newspaper Nguyen Phu Duc shared the difficulties of the family and hoped that the family would continue to strive to improve their lives. At the same time, he respectfully expressed his gratitude for the noble gesture of BIDV Dung Quat, which has always accompanied and coordinated with Quang Ngai Newspaper in social security activities.

Leaders of Quang Ngai Newspaper and local leaders presented a symbolic plaque of 60 million VND in support to build a house for Ms. Nguyen Thi Ho's family.

The Editor-in-Chief of Quang Ngai Newspaper hopes that local authorities will supervise and create the best conditions for the construction of the house to be on schedule, ensuring quality and functionality, and soon handing it over to the family.

Responding to the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province, in 2025, Quang Ngai Newspaper connected and mobilized units, businesses, officials, civil servants and employees of the agency to support the construction of 10 houses for families with housing difficulties, with a total amount of 590 million VND. Up to now, 5 houses of households in Tu Nghia, Mo Duc, Nghia Hanh and Tra Bong districts have been built.

Previously, in 2024, Quang Ngai Newspaper called for, mobilized, and built 12 solidarity houses for the poor and disadvantaged people in the province.

This is one of the meaningful activities to celebrate major events of Quang Ngai province in 2025, such as the 80th anniversary of Ba To Uprising Day (March 11, 1945 - March 11, 2025); 50th anniversary of Quang Ngai Province Liberation Day (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
