HHV won the bid to manage and operate 3 road tunnels on the North-South Expressway, phase 1.
These are road tunnels belonging to the Mai Son - National Highway 45 section and the Dien Chau - Bai Vot section of the Project to build some sections of the North - South expressway in the East phase 2017 - 2020.

Road Management Area II - Vietnam Road Administration has just approved the bidding results of Package No. 01: Management and regular maintenance of expressway traffic infrastructure from the North of Tam Diep tunnel to Dien Chau (Km288+00 - Km420+00) and Cam Lo - La Son section, the contract implementation period starts from July 1, 2024 to March 31, 2027.
Accordingly, the consortium of contractors led by Deo Ca - HHV Transport Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company won the bid for Package No. 01 with a share of 47.7% of the total package price.
The North Central Expressway connecting Nghe An to Ninh Binh has three tunnels through the mountains, including Tam Diep and Thung Thi tunnels on the Mai Son – National Highway 45 Expressway, with lengths of 245m and 680m respectively. Truong Vinh Tunnel on the Dien Chau – Bai Vot Expressway is 450m long.
In early August 2024, the consortium led by HHV also won the bid for Package 02: Management and regular maintenance of road infrastructure of My Thuan 2 bridge and the two-way approach roads, My Thuan - Can Tho expressway. The implementation period of the package is 33 months.
It is known that before winning the bid for the above two packages, HHV was the unit managing the operation and regular maintenance, ensuring safety and smooth traffic for more than 410 km of expressways and national highways, more than 30 km of road tunnels and managing 18 BOT toll stations nationwide.
Thus, up to this point, HHV is managing and operating a total of 6 expressways and National Highway 1 through Khanh Hoa province, My Thuan 2 Bridge and 11 mountain tunnels. Of which, there are 4 largest mountain tunnels in Vietnam: Hai Van tunnel, Deo Ca tunnel, Nui Vung tunnel and Cu Mong tunnel.
These are tunnels with the most modern ITS and ETC intelligent traffic equipment systems in the country. HHV is also the unit that is storing and synchronously managing a data system for the Deo Ca, Cu Mong, and Hai Van tunnels through collecting, storing, and analyzing traffic data at the ITS-ME data centers.
Deo Ca representative said that to concretize the business strategy related to operational management, in addition to a team of experienced, highly skilled and well-trained personnel, HHV has been and is continuing to promote the recruitment and training of highly skilled human resources through connecting with universities and colleges.
In addition, the company also regularly organizes high-skill competitions, conducts internal training by using good engineers to train on-site staff and aims to turn Deo Ca Practical Training Center into a place to train and supply human resources for future operational management.
In the context of transport infrastructure being prioritized by the National Assembly and the Government with large investment resources in the period of 2021 - 2025 to realize the goal of the whole country having 3,000km of expressways by 2025, many localities have mechanisms to promote PPP investment, the source of construction, installation, and operation management work is determined to be relatively abundant.
HHV aims to participate in bidding for the management, operation and regular maintenance of North-South expressway component projects after completion, focusing on sections with road tunnels and large bridges.
Winning the bid to manage the expressways in the North Central and Southwestern regions shows HHV's solid steps in its strategy of participating in bidding to manage and operate the North-South expressways.
