(NADS) - The Da Nang Photography Club has just completed a meaningful week of activities with two outstanding events: a photo exhibition at the 2025 Spring Newspaper Festival in Da Nang and accompanying the Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard Command in the program "Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers" in the Tay Giang border area, Quang Nam.
Impressive display at the Spring Press Festival 2025
At the 2025 Spring Newspaper Festival, which opened on the morning of January 17, 2025 at Apec Park, the Da Nang Photography Club brought 50 excellent photographic works, honoring the beauty of people and the development of Da Nang. This exhibition is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang, affirming the role of the Club in accompanying the city's major activities.
The 2025 Spring Newspaper Fair also displays nearly 800 Spring press publications, more than 150 OCOP agricultural products, and many unique cultural activities such as calligraphy booths and traditional Tet miniatures. The event lasts from January 17 to January 19, attracting a large number of people and tourists, contributing to spreading the image of Da Nang in the process of integration and development.
Urgent journey at "Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers"
In parallel with the activities at the Spring Newspaper Festival, the Da Nang Photography Club undertook a challenging journey to bring a photo exhibition to the program "Spring Border Guard - Warming the hearts of the villagers", taking place on January 18 and 19, 2025 at Tr'hy Border Guard Station (Tay Giang district).
Within a week, the club members overcame many difficulties to travel through border posts such as Hai Doi 2, Ky Ha Border Gate, Tam Thanh, Binh Minh, Cua Dai, A Nong, Tr'hy, Gary and Nam Giang international border gate. The muddy rains, rugged terrain and harsh weather conditions made the journey more urgent and arduous than ever. Some creative locations such as Cu Lao Cham and Nam Giang were even forced to use materials from border units because they could not be directly accessed.
However, with a sense of responsibility and passion, the club members worked tirelessly, sometimes staying up all night to complete high-quality photo sets. The exhibition not only recreates realistic images of the life, training and duties of border guards, but also clearly depicts their strong will and dedication.
Visiting the exhibition within the framework of the program, there were comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee; Colonel Hoang Van Man - Political Commissar of the Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard Command; and many leaders of local agencies and departments. The presence of the comrades not only showed their deep concern for the life in the border area but also was a great source of encouragement for the border guards and the people here.
Talking about the photo exhibition organized by the Da Nang Photography Club this time, Colonel Hoang Van Man - Political Commissar of the Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard Command commented:
“In less than a week, you guys have created an extremely impressive exhibition with high quality content and art, covering both the sea and land borders of Vietnam and Laos. It would be difficult to complete such a large amount of work with just pure enthusiasm and passion for the art of photography. I think that only those who have love, have a close bond, and understand the lives of the people and soldiers in the border and islands - including our Border Guard - can do it and do it well.”
The program “Spring Border Guards - Warming the hearts of the villagers” also organized many meaningful activities such as tent-building contests, green banh chung contests, free medical examinations and medicine distribution. Practical gifts from the “Border Warm Home” house to livelihood models have spread the spirit of solidarity and attachment between the border guards and the people in the border areas.
The program has supported more than 1,500 households in the two border communes of Axan and Tr'hy, as well as border families in Laos, with a total value of more than 4.3 billion VND.
The art of connecting and spreading
This urgent and challenging journey clearly demonstrated the enthusiasm and responsibility of the Da Nang Photography Club. From muddy roads to hours of non-stop work, the club members have completed their tasks excellently, bringing to the exhibition not only beautiful photos but also stories of silent sacrifice and strong will at the border.
The two major events have affirmed the role of the Danang Photography Club in preserving and spreading cultural values. The art of photography has become a bridge, connecting the community and honoring the beauty of the homeland and people of Vietnam.
