As a teacher at a kindergarten in Ba Don town, Quang Binh province, in 2010, after nearly 3 years of love and understanding, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet (born in 1986, from Quang Binh) and Mr. Nguyen Van Thuyet (1982) decided to get married with the goal of building a small, complete and happy family together.

Many years after marriage, even when he quit his job far from home to be near her, the happiness of being a parent still did not smile. Wishing for a child for a long time, Tuyet and her husband visited many places, treated with many types of medicine, combining Eastern and Western medicine.

Ms. Tuyet said that there was no medicine that she and her husband had not taken or tried. In 2014, the couple went to Hue for a medical examination. At that time, the doctor said that her husband had weak sperm and gave him medicine to treat and nourish him while waiting for a natural pregnancy.

After so much waiting and hoping, 2016 seemed like happiness had come, the dream of holding a baby became a reality when Ms. Tuyet got pregnant naturally. But that dream was too short when only in the 3rd month of pregnancy, the little creature inside her body left her.

The first shock that came to Ms. Tuyet after many months of infertility made her absent-minded, crying every night. Looking at the innocent eyes of the children, Ms. Tuyet longed even more for the role of motherhood.

In 2017, when the sadness had subsided, Tuyet and her husband once again went to Ho Chi Minh City for a check-up. The results were the same as the previous check-up, the doctor concluded that the husband's sperm was weak and deformed, making it difficult to conceive naturally. Hearing the introduction of in vitro fertilization, the couple looked at each other hesitantly because their finances were too tight, and they could only wait for luck.

Her second stroke of luck came in 2019, but after only 3 months, she lost her child again. The pain once again devastated her.

In October 2021, the couple decided to spend all their savings to go to Hanoi to find a child and undergo assisted reproductive intervention. Knowing about the Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital through a few friends who had successfully welcomed their children, Ms. Tuyet and Mr. Thuyet brought new hope on this journey.

A month later, she began the process of egg stimulation, egg retrieval, and embryo creation. Everything went smoothly, Tuyet created 5 good embryos and 2 good embryos. It was the first time Tuyet and her husband did IVF, they were still confused and worried, but fortunately, they received encouragement and support from the doctors, which gave them more motivation.

“Just one sentence from Dr. Huong on the embryo transfer table left a lasting impression on me: 'Try your best, be confident and comfortable, and your baby will soon come to you and your husband. Now I will put the embryo baby in you'. Just that one sentence made all my worries disappear, and all that remained was the belief that my baby was waiting for me,” Ms. Tuyet shared.

Following the doctor's instructions, taking care of herself and mentally relaxing, Tuyet waited 10 days after the embryo transfer before taking the pregnancy test. Seeing the two-line test, the couple cried with joy.

Happiness multiplied when two weeks later, Ms. Tuyet went for an ultrasound and was informed by the doctor that she was pregnant with twins, two little “creatures” growing inside her body. Overcoming the fear of losing her children in her two previous natural pregnancies, this time Ms. Tuyet’s entire pregnancy went smoothly.

On October 2, 2022, twins Nguyen Ngoc Binh An and Nguyen Ngoc Phu Quy were born amid the overwhelming happiness of both sides of the extended family. So from now on, the dream of having her own children has come true for preschool teacher Nguyen Thi Tuyet.

There are many infertile teachers who are still waiting day and night for the cry of a child. Understanding that feeling, Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital continues to organize the program "Gratitude to teachers - Sowing seeds of love" to provide much support to teachers during the examination and IVF process at the hospital from March 8 to November 30, 2024. Ms. Tuyet's happiness will be the joy of many other teachers when on the journey to find a child, there is always the support and companionship of doctors and nurses.
