A series of Vietnamese players entered the match!

The Veghel 3-cushion carom billiards World Cup will take place from October 20 to October 26 in the Netherlands. On the competition day of October 20, Nguyen Dinh Luan was the first Vietnamese player to compete in the first qualifying round. Dinh Luan had 1 draw, 1 win and could not get a ticket to the second qualifying round (competing from this afternoon, October 21).

On the second day of the Veghel 2024 World Cup, Vietnam's 3-cushion carom billiards will have 4 players competing: Nguyen Hoan Tat, Nguyen Chi Long, Thon Viet Hoang Minh and Le Thanh Tien.

Nguyen Hoan Tat is a player who has repeatedly caused difficulties for Tran Quyet Chien in domestic competitions.

Nguyen Hoan Tat is in Group A with home player Reggy Brouwers (Netherlands) and Aygun Cin (Germany). Hoan Tat will take the field at 4 p.m. today (October 21, Vietnam time), facing Aygun Cin.

Nguyen Chi Long is in Group E with Jetten (Netherlands) and Wittkopf (Germany). Thon Viet Hoang Minh is in Group O with Lowe (Germany) and Papakons (Greece). Le Thanh Tien is in Group P with Naanouh (Lebanon) and Van Erp (Netherlands). Accordingly, Nguyen Chi Long will start at 7 p.m., while Hoang Minh and Thanh Tien will play their first match at 9:30 p.m. today (October 21).

Nguyen Chi Long made an impression at the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City World Cup in May.

All four names mentioned above are skilled players in the Vietnamese 3-cushion carom billiards scene at the moment. If they play at their best, the chance for Hoan Tat, Chi Long, Hoang Minh and Thanh Tien to participate in the 3rd qualifying round is very high, and they can even go further.

In the second qualifying round, 48 players are divided into 16 groups (3 players each), playing a round-robin to calculate ranking points. Each match is worth 30 points, with the same number of cues. The top players in each group will qualify for the third qualifying round of the Veghel World Cup 2024.
