Tran Quyet Chien sprints spectacularly, facing the World Cup champion in the quarter-finals

In the knockout round (16 players) of the 3-cushion carom event - HBSF Billiards Tournament, Stage 1 2025, which took place on the evening of March 24, Tran Quyet Chien had a rematch with Nguyen Huu Thanh. Huu Thanh was the player who defeated Tran Quyet Chien with a score of 40-36, after 18 rounds in the group stage of round 4 which took place at noon on the same day. Vietnam's No. 1 player then defeated both remaining opponents in the group, to win the remaining ticket to the next round.
