Safe labor, sustainable development
Occupational safety and health is a solid foundation for the sustainable development of each enterprise and the whole society. A safe working environment not only protects the health and life of employees - the most valuable asset of each unit, but also contributes to improving productivity, work quality, and reducing costs caused by occupational accidents and diseases. Deeply aware of that importance, An Giang always focuses on and implements many practical activities to ensure occupational safety and health in production and business establishments.
The 2025 Occupational Safety and Health Action Month has the theme “Strengthening the assessment and identification of hazards and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace”, to emphasize the proactive role of each unit and individual in preventing occupational accidents and diseases from the root. Instead of passively dealing with incidents that have occurred, it is necessary to focus on early identification of potential hazards, accurately assessing the level of risk and developing effective preventive measures.
To successfully achieve this goal, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called for the synchronous participation of all relevant parties. Departments, branches and sectors need to strengthen the inspection, examination and supervision of the implementation of occupational safety and health regulations at enterprises. Promote propaganda, dissemination of laws and raise awareness for employees and employers. Enterprises need to proactively review and re-evaluate the entire production process, machinery, equipment and working environment to promptly detect and overcome dangerous and harmful factors. Providing adequate personal protective equipment, organizing safety skills training for employees and building a culture of occupational safety are indispensable tasks. In particular, each employee needs to raise awareness of self-protection, strictly comply with occupational safety and health procedures and regulations, proactively detect and report potential risks.

Responding to the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health and Workers' Month 2025, the Provincial People's Committee requested enterprises and production establishments in the province to urgently develop specific programs and action plans, ensuring practicality and effectiveness in each implementation activity. In particular, the key task is to conduct periodic and regular self-inspections of all machinery and equipment serving production, promptly detect and prevent all potential risks causing incidents and unsafety during the production process. Each unit needs to proactively review and comprehensively assess the risks that may arise in the working environment, in order to have solutions to improve working conditions and apply appropriate occupational safety and health technical measures. Organize adequate training on occupational safety and health knowledge and skills for workers. Enterprises focus on monitoring the working environment, closely coordinate with local medical facilities to organize periodic health check-ups and occupational disease check-ups for employees, ensuring the health and legitimate rights of employees.
The 2025 Occupational Safety and Health Action Month is an opportunity for An Giang to continue affirming its strong commitment to protecting the rights and health of workers.
