From March 14-15, in the historic waters of Vietnam - Cambodia, the Vietnam People's Navy and the Royal Cambodian Navy conducted the 74th annual joint patrol.

The forces participating in the joint patrol include Ship 253 of Vietnam People's Navy Region 5 and Ship 1134 of Ream Sea Base, Royal Cambodian Navy.
During the patrol, the two sides performed the greeting procedure between ASEAN naval ships (Hello ASEAN); exchanged information; trained in the use of hand flags, lights, and practiced search and rescue.

During the patrol, through communication channels, the navies of the two countries also actively propagated and mobilized fishermen of both sides to strictly comply with laws and regulations when exploiting seafood in historical waters, and not to infringe upon the sovereignty of other countries.

With careful preparation and close coordination, the 74th joint patrol between the Vietnam People's Navy and the Royal Cambodian Navy was a great success. Thereby, it contributed to maintaining security, order, peace and stability in the historical waters of Vietnam - Cambodia, creating favorable conditions for the people of the two countries to develop the marine economy; at the same time, consolidating and developing the cooperative relationship, enhancing understanding, trust and mutual assistance between the two navies.
