This is a practical activity to create conditions for the Consul General and international students to learn more about Vietnamese history, especially the resilient and indomitable spirit of the army and people of Cu Chi district in the resistance war against the US to save the country.

Speaking at the program, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations Ho Xuan Lam said that the program not only helps international students understand more about Vietnam's glorious past, but is also an opportunity to connect and strengthen the affection between Lao and Cambodian students with the country and people of Vietnam. In particular, this activity is also an opportunity to strengthen the affection between international students and Vietnamese host families, where they are living and studying during their time in Ho Chi Minh City.

Many sentiments from the Consuls General were recorded. In addition, young Lao and Cambodian participants also expressed their emotion and pride in the heroic fighting tradition of their nation.

The film screening is not only an opportunity for cultural exchange and mutual understanding, but also contributes to promoting the image of Vietnam and its people to international friends in a genuine and profound way.

“Tunnels: Sun in the Dark” is a fictional film, inspired by true stories, set in 1967 after the Cedar Falls raid. The film is only about 20 minutes long but is unique and rich in cinematic quality. The film tells the story of the lives of people living in the Cu Chi tunnel system - a famous relic of Vietnam, which was once a place for soldiers and civilians to live, take shelter and fight during the resistance war against the US.

The film was directed by Bui Thac Chuyen and features many famous actors such as Thai Hoa, Meritorious Artist Cao Minh and young professional film actors such as Quang Tuan, Ho Thu Anh, Diem Hang Lamoon.

On the evening of April 10, 'Tunnel' reached the revenue milestone of 100 billion VND, becoming the first hundred-billion-VND war film.
