In the plan, Hai Phong Customs Department sets out many key solutions such as: Improving the effectiveness of management work, promoting reform of specialized inspection activities for goods.
Improve the efficiency of management work, effectively deploy the national single window portal. Enhance the application of information technology, interconnectivity, and data sharing among state agencies to improve the quality of administrative procedure regulations and the efficiency of administrative procedure settlement...
In addition, Hai Phong Customs Department also proposed solutions with the goal of striving to achieve the targets according to Plan No. 9856/KH-HQHP on Implementing tasks to improve the competitiveness index (PCI) in 2023-2024 of Hai Phong Customs Department; Plan No. 243/KH-UBND dated September 21, 2023 on improving the competitiveness index (PCI) in 2023-2024 of Hai Phong city to improve the business environment, maintain the city's PCI ranking in the group of 10 leading provinces and cities nationwide and in the group of localities with good economic management quality.
In the Plan, Hai Phong Customs Department specifically identifies the objectives, tasks, and implementation progress for each task and assigns units under and directly under the Department to preside over and coordinate implementation.
At the same time, regularly check and monitor the progress and implementation results to promptly grasp and support businesses in promptly removing obstacles in policies and procedures in the customs sector on the basis of ensuring respect for freedom of business, creating an open, equal, stable and transparent environment.
Hai Phong Customs Department is one of the units with the largest import-export turnover in the industry, with millions of import-export declarations from tens of thousands of businesses each year. In January 2024, the entire Hai Phong Customs Department completed procedures for 14,159 enterprises, with 214,914 declarations, total import-export turnover reached 10.4 billion USD, of which, export reached 5.21 billion USD, import reached 5.19 billion USD. Previously, in 2023, the entire Department carried out procedures for more than 2.2 million import-export declarations (an increase of 3.68% over the same period in 2022) of more than 29,000 enterprises. |
