Hanoi plants 700,000 more trees

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch on launching an emulation movement to achieve achievements in implementing the project "Planting one billion trees in the period 2021-2025".

Accordingly, Hanoi requires sectors, organizations, and localities to focus on reviewing and accelerating the implementation progress to complete and over-complete the tree planting and afforestation plan for the 2021-2025 period in the area.

Agencies and units are assigned to focus on restoring the urban tree system and trees in parks damaged by storms; researching tree planting along newly opened roads, especially Ring Road 4, vacant land, interspersed land, etc.

Hanoi strives to plant more than 700,000 new trees of all kinds in the whole city by 2025.

The city also requires agencies and units to launch a campaign to plant trees and forests on non-forested forest land. At the same time, propagate to households, striving for each household to plant at least 1 to 2 trees.
