Conference to promote the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement on protection and exploitation of tourism resources of Ban Gioc Waterfall (Vietnam)

On the morning of April 9, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with Cao Bang province to organize a conference to promote the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement on Protection and Exploitation of Tourism Resources of Ban Gioc Waterfall (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China). Attending were leaders of several ministries, branches, and central agencies; experts; provincial departments, branches, and sectors; Trung Khanh District People's Committee; representatives of corporations and enterprises.

After listening to the Provincial People's Committee report on the implementation of the Agreement, delegates focused on giving opinions on the province's proposed contents, in order to effectively implement planning work; allocate investment capital for technical infrastructure works of Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area; build specific mechanisms and policies in management, investment cooperation, attracting investment to develop Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area , etc.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Quan Minh Cuong emphasized that in order for the locality to effectively exploit the potential for tourism development at Ban Gioc Waterfall Landscape Area, the province hopes that the central ministries and branches will exchange, orient and support the implementation of the Agreement on the basis of ensuring the preservation of the ecological environment , landscape , and cultural identity of the nation , maintaining border security , and firmly protecting territorial sovereignty . of the Fatherland ; coordinate with the province to research and implement breakthrough solutions, not following the old path and thinking, having specific mechanisms to promote socialization, prioritizing private investment to promote sustainable tourism development; continue to promote cooperation to build a peaceful, friendly and developed border area .

Concluding the conference, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu highly appreciated the enthusiastic, responsible and constructive comments of the delegates. He basically agreed with the province's proposals, and at the same time, affirmed that this is a great opportunity to promote cooperation in developing Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area . He suggested that all levels, sectors and localities need to take advantage of and seize the opportunity; further raise awareness of management work in a systematic and methodical manner; need the participation of ministries, sectors and branches from the Central to local levels ; increase investment and international cooperation to build a unique infrastructure system serving tourism. It is expected that Cao Bang will continue to build and operate the Ban Gioc Waterfall landscape area to become a bright spot in border tourism cooperation between Vietnam and China , contributing to promoting socio-economic development in the locality .
