Solving the problem of "too many teachers, not enough workers"

At the program, experts from universities answered students’ questions about career orientation, choosing a major, choosing a school, and many other important notes when applying for admission. Representatives of businesses and entrepreneurs also shared and inspired students to pursue their dreams, thereby creating a quality and diverse consulting environment to help students better understand suitable study and career options.

Many 12th graders have expressed concerns about admission methods as well as things to keep in mind to optimize their chances of being admitted to prestigious universities.

Answering this question, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thu Huong, Deputy Head of the Department of Psychology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, said that the registration method for university admission in 2025 will remain stable as last year. However, all high school transcripts, high school graduation exam scores and individual exam results of candidates will be uploaded to the system and considered for admission in one round.

Candidates can register for majors and schools according to their needs, at both college and university levels. They can take advantage of the best results, in any way, to set their wishes, reducing costs and efforts.

Some students expressed concern that the situation of “too many teachers and not enough workers” has been mentioned a lot in recent years. So what should students pay attention to when deciding on their future career?

Answering this concern, Distinguished Teacher, Dr. Pham Xuan Khanh, Principal of Hanoi College of Technology, said that the situation of “surplus teachers” is due to too many students enrolling in university while the social demand is not fully utilized. Meanwhile, “workers” are those who work directly in factories, creating products that are highly recruited by businesses, but few students enroll.

Dr. Pham Xuan Khanh noted that in the context of many bankruptcies, the whole country is streamlining the apparatus, the number of civil servants is only 1/3, students need to stick to reality when choosing a career, to increase their chances of getting a job in the future.

According to Dr. Pham Xuan Khanh, Hanoi College of Technology currently trains 45 professions. Regarding training quality, the school commits that all students who meet the skills standards will have jobs after graduation. In addition, students receive comprehensive education. The school is cooperating with 400 domestic and foreign enterprises to provide job training for students.

It is known that in April 2025, Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper will continue to coordinate with units and schools to organize 3 dialogue, counseling and career guidance programs for high school students at high schools in Ha Dong district, Thanh Tri district, Dan Phuong and many other areas.
