Book "Cuba - Vietnam: Two peoples, one history".

This is an important event in a series of activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Cuban Committee for Solidarity with South Vietnam and the 50th anniversary of Leader Fidel Castro's visit to Vietnam.

Speaking at the introduction ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, emphasized that the book "Cuba - Vietnam: Two peoples, one history" can be considered a chronicle of events that fully records important milestones of the close, faithful relationship between Cuba and Vietnam over the past 60 years, since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1960, from visits and exchanges of high-level delegations and delegations at all levels to bilateral cooperation in many fields. The book also has a rich system of photo documents, thereby demonstrating the close, steadfast brotherly friendship between the two peoples, despite being geographically separated by half a world, both during war and peace...

“The book is considered a spiritual gift from the Truth National Political Publishing House to our close Cuban brothers, as well as to generations of Vietnamese and Cubans who have made many contributions to creating, maintaining and developing this special bilateral relationship of solidarity and friendship; at the same time, it provides materials for readers of both countries to better understand and appreciate the common history between the two peoples that generations of predecessors have worked hard to cultivate,” Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam affirmed.

Attending and speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam Orlando Nicolás Guilén also affirmed that the book records the most important events in the Vietnam - Cuba relationship, which Dr. Ruvislei González Saez spent a lot of time researching and implementing, with the desire to pass on the spirit of good relations to the young generations of the two countries.

Sharing online from Cuba, Dr. Ruvislei González Saez thanked the close coordination between the Central Foreign Affairs Commission and the National Political Publishing House Truth, the enthusiastic participation with a sense of responsibility of prestigious experts and translators from the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, Vietnam News Agency, and Hanoi University to publish the author's dedicated book on this occasion.

The publication of the book “Cuba - Vietnam: Two peoples, one history” together with publications on the Vietnam - Cuba friendship contributes to consolidating, continuing to cultivate and develop the traditional friendship that has been maintained by generations of leaders of the Party, State and people of the two countries. At the same time, this opens up prospects for increasingly close and deep cooperation in publishing, distributing books and cultural exchange activities between the two countries in general and between the Truth National Political Publishing House and organizations and agencies of Cuba and Latin American countries in particular.
