On May 9, the Ministry of Information and Communications announced information on the quality of postal services of a number of enterprises in 2023.
The results of the 2023 postal service quality assessment help people choose the service that suits their needs.
10 postal enterprises with market share in output and revenue accounting for over 80% of total market output and revenue have been selected by the Ministry of Information and Communications, including: Best Express Company Limited (Best); Vietnam Postal Express Corporation - Joint Stock Company (EMS); Fast Delivery Service Joint Stock Company (GHN); Economical Delivery Joint Stock Company (GHTK); Thuan Phong Express One Member Co., Ltd. (J&T); Flex Speed Delivery Company Limited (Flex Speed); Nin Sing Logistics Company Limited (Nin Sing); Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation (Viettel Post); Vietnam Post Corporation (VNPost); SPX Express Company Limited (SPX).
The number of inter-provincial routes selected for evaluation are 2 intra-provincial routes in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and 12 inter-provincial routes with large output (accounting for 29% of the total postal output of enterprises).
Of the 12 inter-provincial routes, there are 7 routes from Hanoi to the following provinces and cities: Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Nghe An, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong.
5 routes from Ho Chi Minh City to provinces and cities: Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, Da Nang, Hanoi.
Synthesizing data collected from 10 postal enterprises, shows that the total number of postal items in 3 days of 10 enterprises is about 16.7 million postal items. The total number of postal items used for quality assessment is nearly 4.8 million postal items.
Results of evaluating maximum committed turnaround time and delivery rate meeting committed turnaround time
As a result, the rate of postal items meeting the fastest committed delivery time belongs to GHN Company with a maximum committed delivery time of 4 days, the rate of postal items meeting the committed delivery time is 95%. Next is EMS Company with a maximum time of 4.5 days and a rate of postal items of 94.38%; GHTK Company is in third place with a time of 6 days, a rate of postal items of 94.6%.
At the bottom of the list is Best Company, with a maximum committed delivery time of 21 days, and a rate of parcels meeting the committed delivery time of 99.68%.
According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, the results of the postal service quality assessment of a number of postal enterprises in 2023 will help postal service users know and choose to use services that suit their needs.
From there, it helps state management agencies have an overview of the current status of postal service provision of enterprises; raise the sense of responsibility of postal service providers, ensure the quality committed or announced to customers; at the same time, recognize the potential and strength of rival enterprises to improve and enhance service quality and competitiveness.
In the first quarter of 2024, postal service revenue is estimated at VND 11,250 billion, an increase of 28.57% over the same period in 2023; postal output is estimated at 505 million postal items, an increase of over 47% over the same period in 2023.
