According to the Department of Foreign Affairs, in 2023, foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the province implemented 94 NGO programs and projects with disbursed capital reaching over 17.2 million USD, of which 36 new programs and projects were mobilized in 2023 (with total committed capital of over 15.2 million USD).

Currently, the province has 33 NGOs and 11 international organizations operating. NGOs are supporting localities in areas such as social protection, climate change, environmental protection, scholarships, healthcare, overcoming the consequences of war, supporting people with disabilities, comprehensive rural development, disease prevention, education and training, etc., thereby contributing to promoting socio-economic development in localities in the project area.
The programs and projects of the NGOs implemented in the province in 2023 generally achieved positive results. As a province still facing many difficulties and limited budget revenue, non-refundable aid capital from NGOs continues to make important contributions to the socio-economic development goals of the locality.
