The first meeting of the Steering Committee for implementing key projects

(Baoquangngai.vn) - The Steering Committee for implementing key projects and socio-economic development projects with spillover effects in Quang Ngai province (Steering Committee) held its first meeting.

On the afternoon of March 28, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Steering Committee Dang Ngoc Huy chaired the first meeting of the Steering Committee. Attending the meeting were members of the Steering Committee; representatives of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; representatives of departments, branches and some related localities.

At the meeting, the Steering Committee listened to reports from relevant departments, branches and localities, discussed the situation, progress of implementation and recommendations on implementing key projects and socio-economic development projects with spillover effects in the province.

Director of the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board Ngo Van Dung reported on the implementation status of a number of key projects.

Of which, 8 key projects include: Sub-project of compensation, support, resettlement of component project of Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon section, section through Quang Ngai province (additional area); Hoang Sa - Doc Soi road; Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road, phase IIa, component 1; Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road, phase IIb; road connecting from Thach Bich bridge to Tinh Phong; investment in construction of anti-erosion embankment combined with creation of land fund on the north bank of Tra Khuc river, section through Tinh An and Tinh Long communes (Quang Ngai city); investment in construction of anti-erosion embankment combined with creation of land fund on the north bank of Tra Khuc river, section through Tinh Long and Tinh Khe communes (Quang Ngai city); dam downstream of Tra Khuc river. Currently, the projects are continuing to implement site clearance, compensation, resettlement, and construction.

In addition, projects with spillover effects are projects of Hoa Phat Group; Investment in construction and business of infrastructure of VSIP II Quang Ngai industrial park; Dung Quat Southeast New Urban Area - North; Dung Quat Southeast New Urban Area - South; Tinh An - Tinh Long New Urban Area; Thach Bich - Nui Chua Urban Resort and Eco-tourism Complex; An Phu New Urban Area are also being focused on implementation by relevant agencies, units and localities.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Steering Committee Dang Ngoc Huy delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Steering Committee Dang Ngoc Huy requested agencies, units and localities to strengthen coordination, enhance the responsibility of leaders, resolutely carry out tasks within their authority; proactively resolve existing problems and difficulties; speed up the implementation of key projects and projects with spillover effects in the province.

In addition, urgently complete the work of determining specific land prices to serve as a basis for establishing, appraising, and approving compensation plans and handing over construction sites for works and projects.

During the implementation of works and projects, if any difficulties or problems arise that require direction from the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee are requested to promptly report.
