(NLDO)- Applying many advanced technologies, along with real artifacts, the Vietnam Military History Museum gives visitors interesting experiences.
The Vietnam Military History Museum, located at Km 6+500 Thang Long Avenue, Tay Mo Ward, Nam Tu Liem District (Hanoi), has emerged as a popular destination in recent days. According to Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duc, Director of the Propaganda Department (Ministry of National Defense), the Vietnam Military History Museum will open to visitors from November 1, 2024. According to statistics, by November 14, the Museum had welcomed 150,000 visitors. Of which, 43,000 visitors came on weekends. "This is a very happy thing. In addition to paying attention to key cultural works, many people are also very interested in the value of tradition and history," said Lieutenant General Duc. The Vietnam Military History Museum has a large space with an area of tens of thousands of square meters, divided into many display areas according to each historical period. Historical artifacts such as MiG-21 aircraft numbered 5121, T-54 tank numbered 843 (national treasure), or heavy artillery guns displayed outdoors are not only proof of military strength but also symbols of the nation's resilient fighting spirit. The museum currently holds more than 150,000 artifacts, including 4 national treasures, each with its own historical story, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of the heroic feats and sacrifices of the Vietnamese people. This has created a special attraction for history lovers, especially those who want to better understand Vietnam's glorious victories in the resistance wars. Another difference that makes the museum attract a large number of visitors is the application of modern technology to the exhibition activities. The videos describing/3D mapping of major battles and famous battles have made history more vivid and accessible than ever. As a visitor from Bac Ninh province, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phuoc said that he was really impressed with the space and the current display layout at the Museum. Along with that, he also never thought that he would have the opportunity to stand so close to the legendary weapons that participated in Vietnam's historical battles. "I was really impressed with the way the museum used technology to recreate the battles. The 3D videos made me feel like I was directly participating in those battles," Phuoc shared, adding that these technologies not only help visitors easily receive information but also create an interesting interactive experience, making history no longer dry stories but more vivid and easier to understand. Besides the artifacts and technology, an indispensable factor is the presence of veterans who directly participated in the wars to protect the country. Their stories, when shared in the exhibition areas, moved many visitors. "I met a group of veterans standing next to the MiG-21 aircraft numbered 5121, telling each other about the difficult days of war. These stories made me truly feel the value of peace and the great sacrifices of the previous generation" - said Mr. Nguyen Hoang Minh from Hanoi. In addition to the content, the location and design of the museum also contribute greatly to the attraction of this place. The design of the building with open spaces and beautiful photo angles is suitable for tourists who love photography. Finally, a factor that cannot be ignored is that the museum is open for free from November 1 and will continue to be free until the end of December. This not only attracts a large number of domestic tourists but also creates opportunities for many international tourists to visit and learn about Vietnam's history. With all of the above factors, the Vietnam Military History Museum is increasingly asserting its position as an unmissable destination, especially for those who are passionate about history and want to learn more about the heroic history of the Vietnamese people. According to the Lao Dong Newspaper on November 16, the number of visitors to the museum is still very large. The indoor exhibition area has an additional rope system around it, ensuring the distance between visitors and artifacts.
