Vietnam and South Korea officially established diplomatic relations on December 22, 1992. After 30 years of establishing diplomatic relations, Vietnam - South Korea cooperation has had substantial and effective developments. In particular, in 2022, the two countries upgraded their relationship to a "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership", marking a new height in the development of Vietnam - South Korea relations.
Over the past years, the relationship between the two countries has developed strongly in all fields. The exchange of delegations and contacts at high and all levels has been maintained regularly and effectively. Korea has always been a major partner in foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam. Cooperation between the two countries has increasingly expanded with many mechanisms and cooperation channels in all fields of politics, diplomacy, defense, security, economy, culture, education and training, science, justice, health, etc.

Local relations between Dak Lak province and localities in Korea have been expanding. Dak Lak has established cooperative relations with Jeollabuk province and regularly maintains high-level delegation exchanges, cooperating to promote information on the potential, strengths, culture and tourism of each locality.
The women's football tournament celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea had the participation of 6 teams from Dak Lak Pedagogical College and Vietnam College of Industry and Commerce (Dak Lak campus). The tournament is a meaningful and practical activity to promote, educate, and raise awareness for students in particular, and the people of Dak Lak province in general, about the solidarity, friendship and "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" between the two countries. At the same time, it creates a healthy playground for the sports movement in general and women's football in particular in the area.
The Inter-team football team of the Faculty of Economics, Vietnam College of Industry and Trade (Dak Lak campus) excellently won the championship.
At the end of the tournament, the Inter-team Football Team of the Faculty of Economics, Vietnam College of Industry and Commerce (Dak Lak campus) won the championship; the Team of Lecturers of Vietnam College of Industry and Commerce (Dak Lak campus) won the second prize. The Team of Lecturers of Dak Lak College of Education and the Team of Preschool Education 2 shared the third prize. The Organizing Committee also awarded the Style prize to the Team of the Faculty of Pharmacy - International, Vietnam College of Industry and Commerce (Dak Lak campus) and the Team of Preschool Education 1.
