Gasoline and oil prices increased by 90-490 VND per liter from 3:00 p.m. today, following adjustments by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.
The price of RON 95-III gasoline (the popular type on the market) increased by VND270, to VND21,010 per liter. E5 RON 92 increased by VND380, to VND20,430.
Similarly, oil products increased by 90-490 VND per liter. Compared to 7 days ago, diesel increased by 490 VND, to 19,240 VND. Kerosene and fuel oil increased to 19,240 VND and 16,180 VND per liter and kilogram, respectively.

This is the second gasoline price adjustment since the beginning of 2025. Compared to the same period last year, each liter of gasoline is 900 VND lower, and oil is 230 VND lower.
This year, the environmental protection tax on gasoline (except ethanol) remains at VND2,000 per liter, according to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee. The tax rate on jet fuel, diesel, fuel oil, and lubricants is VND1,000 per liter; grease is VND1,000 per kilogram; and kerosene is VND600 per liter.
The Ministry of Finance estimates that the budget revenue will decrease by about VND44,224 billion. However, this will be direct support from the State to help people and businesses recover, develop production, business, and develop the socio-economy.
The operator said fuel prices fluctuated last week due to a stronger US dollar, rising US oil inventories, China's economic stimulus plan, and the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
These factors cause gasoline prices to increase or decrease depending on the product. On average, over the past 7 days, finished gasoline increased by 1.6-2.5%, while oil increased by 0.6-3.1%. Accordingly, each barrel of RON 95 gasoline increased to 86 USD, diesel to 92.2 USD, and fuel oil to 455.2 USD per ton.
