The operator said fuel prices fluctuated last week due to cold weather in the US and Europe, which increased fuel demand. US President Donald Trump also issued policies to increase domestic fossil fuel production and directed tax adjustments with some countries. These factors caused gasoline prices to increase or decrease depending on the item.
On average, over the past 7 days, finished gasoline prices have decreased by 0.1-0.7%, and oil prices have increased by 2.8-4.7%. Accordingly, each barrel of RON 95 gasoline has decreased to 87 USD and diesel has increased to 98.1 USD.
Today is the last operating session of the authorities before the 9-day Tet holiday. According to regulations, gasoline prices are adjusted every Thursday.
However, next week's adjustment schedule falls on January 30, the second day of Tet. Therefore, the adjustment time will be postponed to February 1 (the fourth day of Tet), according to Decree 80 on petroleum trading.
