At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Han introduced the economy, culture and society of Tra Vinh province; especially the effective training activities, including Cambodian students studying at Tra Vinh University; information about the socio-economic development achievements of the province in recent times. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Han affirmed: strengthening the relationship between Vietnam - Cambodia in general; Tra Vinh province - Battambang province (Tra Vinh twin) in particular in recent times has contributed to fostering the good traditional friendship between the two countries.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that in the coming time, the Consul General of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to pay attention to creating conditions for Tra Vinh province to further strengthen cooperation with Cambodia through information exchange, sharing experiences in socio-economic development; creating conditions for Tra Vinh enterprises to export to Cambodia and inviting Cambodian enterprises to invest in Tra Vinh.

Mr. Chan Sorykan affirmed that the traditional solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia is always good. During his term, he will try to further foster the existing friendship. He will be a bridge to create conditions and connections for Vietnamese and Cambodian businesses to learn about and promote trade cooperation between the two sides.
