Support for workers to work abroad

In order to create conditions for people to access high-income jobs, and at the same time, build human resources with industrial style and vocational skills to serve the development and economic restructuring, in recent times, Vinh Phuc has effectively implemented policies to support loans for workers working abroad under contracts.

In February 2024, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quy's daughter-in-law, Zone 4, Yen Lac town, was lent 177 million VND by the Yen Lac District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office to go to work in Japan. After only a few months of working in the neighboring country, Ms. Quy's daughter-in-law had capital to send back to support her husband to continue working in Japan. Up to now, both her husband and daughter have stable jobs and send money back home every month to support the family.

Up to now, the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Yen Lac District has disbursed over 2.8 billion VND to 32 customers who borrowed capital to work abroad. The workers working abroad all have stable jobs with quite high incomes, and their family's economy has improved.

In order to continue to promote the effectiveness of labor export loan capital, the Yen Lac District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office actively consults with all levels and sectors to allocate capital to promptly deploy loans when people have needs. At the same time, coordinate with local authorities to promote propaganda, inspection and supervision of loan evaluation and loan use to ensure publicity, transparency and efficiency.

Not only Yen Lac district, but in 2024, the whole province had 202 workers who received loans to work abroad under contracts with a total amount of more than 21 billion VND and 1,061 workers who received support for some costs to work abroad with a total cost of more than 13 billion VND. This source of capital has helped people reduce the burden of costs for labor export, at the same time, contributing to promoting socio-economic development in localities.
