Coordinate well the organization of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army

Attending the conference were Major General Le Xuan Thuan, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Military Region 1; Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province; representatives of functional agencies of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; leaders of departments, branches, sectors and localities of Thai Nguyen province.

Implementing the Decision of the Minister of National Defense approving the plan to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (September 7, 1945 - September 7, 2025), recently, the Political Department, General Staff has coordinated with the functional agencies of Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province to conduct surveys and complete procedures to implement the restoration of the following items: Monument stele of the workplace of Chief of the General Staff Hoang Van Thai in Dinh Bien commune, Dinh Hoa district; Monument stele of the historical workplace of the General Staff during the 1949 - 1954 period in Bao Linh commune, Dinh Hoa district; Monument stele, residence and workplace of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Bao Linh commune, Dinh Hoa district.

Along with that, it has coordinated with units to hand over funds to build 5 gratitude houses in Dai Tu and Phu Luong districts; coordinated and appraised the list of gifts for policy families; families in difficult circumstances; outstanding students overcoming difficulties in Dinh Hoa district. Corporation 789 (Ministry of National Defense) has also started construction of 2 projects in Diem Mac commune, Dinh Hoa district, including: Diem Mac Kindergarten and Hoang Ngan Secondary School Multi-purpose House. The Logistics Department, General Staff has developed a plan, ensured medicine and medical supplies to organize medical examination and treatment, and provide free medicine for 300 policy beneficiaries and families in difficult circumstances in Dinh Hoa district in the coming time...

Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the Conference.

Speaking at the Conference, on behalf of the leaders of Thai Nguyen province, comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: Thai Nguyen will continue to closely coordinate with Military Region 1 and the General Staff in implementing the commemorative activities, ensuring the right progress, high quality and efficiency. He also requested relevant departments and branches to proactively coordinate and seriously implement the tasks according to the set plan, contributing to organizing the commemorative activities solemnly, meaningfully and on time.

Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan delivered a concluding speech at the Conference.

Concluding the Conference, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan requested the agencies and units of the General Staff to strengthen coordination between agencies inside and outside the army, promote propaganda on traditional media and digital platforms. Continue to closely coordinate with agencies of Thai Nguyen province and Dinh Hoa district to closely monitor the progress of the implemented work contents, promptly detect and remove arising obstacles, ensure that the works are completed on schedule and of good quality. The Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army requested the Command of Military Region 1 and the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province to direct agencies and units, closely coordinate with agencies and units of the General Staff to well organize the contents in the series of commemorative activities; prepare, deploy, and serve the activities of the Chief of the General Staff and working delegations in the program of marching to the source to ensure solemnity, thoughtfulness, and safety...
