This afternoon (March 6), the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance announced changes in retail prices of petroleum products. Based on the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, petroleum businesses simultaneously adjusted their petroleum prices from 3:00 p.m. today.

Compared to the previous adjustment, in today's adjustment period, the price of RON 95 gasoline (common type on the market) decreased by 710 VND/liter, the selling price is 20,400 VND/liter.

Similarly, the price of E5 gasoline was also adjusted down by 690 VND/liter, the selling price down to 19,960 VND/liter.

Meanwhile, diesel price was adjusted down by 620 VND/liter, selling price to 18,330 VND/liter.

At today's management session, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance still did not deduct and did not spend from the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.

In the most recent adjustment period (February 27), the price of RON 95 gasoline decreased by VND220/liter, the selling price was VND21,110/liter. The price of E5 gasoline was also adjusted down by VND200/liter, the selling price was VND20,650/liter.

In the same trend, diesel price was adjusted down by 110 VND/liter, selling price at 18,950 VND/liter.

Thus, the domestic price of RON 95 gasoline has decreased for the second consecutive time. Currently, the price of this fuel is at its lowest level in more than 3 years.

In the draft circular detailing a number of articles of the new decree on petroleum trading that the Ministry of Industry and Trade is seeking comments on, the operator plans to only announce world petroleum prices to apply to calculate selling prices for popular products on the market such as RON 95-III gasoline and diesel.

For products whose prices are not announced by the authorities, wholesale traders must determine their own selling prices based on the formula for calculating the component costs.

After adjusting the selling price of gasoline, the wholesale and retail prices of gasoline must be announced by the main traders and distributors in the distribution system and notified to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the provincial People's Committee, the Department of Industry and Trade and the market management agency where the trader has a distribution system.

Domestic gasoline prices tomorrow may decrease by nearly VND1,000/liter Domestic gasoline prices tomorrow (March 6) are forecast to decrease for the second consecutive time. If the Price Stabilization Fund is not affected, gasoline prices may decrease by about VND700-800/liter, while diesel prices will decrease less.
