On October 31, gas businesses in Ho Chi Minh City announced that they would increase the selling price by VND 10,000/12kg cylinder from the morning of November 1, 2024.

This is the fourth consecutive price increase in the past four months with a total increase of VND26,000/12kg cylinder.

Specifically, Saigon Petro Company said that from the morning of November 1, the selling price of SP gas will increase by 833 VND/kg (including VAT), equivalent to an increase of 10,000 VND for a 12kg cylinder.

Similarly, gas prices of brands PetroVietnamgas, Thu Duc Gas, VT Gas, City Petro Gas, Vina Pacific Petro Gas and Vimexco Gas... all increased by 10,000 VND/12kg cylinder.

After the increase, the retail price of 12kg gas cylinders in Ho Chi Minh City is at 452,000-494,000 VND/12kg cylinder depending on the brand.

According to gas businesses, the reason for the continued increase in gas prices in November is that the average imported gas price (CP) in November 2024 closed at 632.5 USD/ton, an increase of 10 USD/ton compared to the CP price in October 2024 and the high USD exchange rate.
